The Author of your life.

I don’t like writing things from my own understanding but I listen to what the Holy Spirit is telling me to write.

I’m still in genesis and I was reading the story about the birth of Esau and Jacob, the sons of Isaac and Rebekah.

The part that touched me the most was when Rebekah was asking the Lord why her unborn babies always fight in her womb and guess what God said {Genesis 25:23}  “ The sons in your womb  will become two nations..”  You should continue reading this story .I just wanted the part I highlighted it speaks volumes. It has just showed me how God knows us so well even before we were born. He had already written our story before we were conceived; He already knew how the story was going to end and what its all about.That has just made me do a lot of thinking about life. Yes it’s true that the Lord is the author of our lives, He wrote our lives and He concluded them. He knows what the story is all about, so why don’t you let him publish it for you. Why do you have to publish a book that you don’t know about, a book you didn’t write, probably you only know its name, the author (God) and the day it was written(birthday), and a little bit of what its all about but you don’t know how to publish it.

Let God show you off cause He shows you off better than you show off yourself. In life we tend to go our own way, publishing novels we didn’t write. You and me didn’t write our life stories God already did, so why do we want to live the way we want. The way that satisfies us. We take a completely different route from the one God intended us to walk in. When things go wrong we start blaming God for our own stubbornness. We usually take routes that God aint familiar with, routes that we were not equipped for. I believe God has already equipped us for every trail we are going to face. He has already given us equipment to overcome trials, to be strong in trials and to come out victorious. But if we going to take another route that has different trials from the one He has equipped you for, how are you going to face the trial, how are you going to come out victorious if you not equipped for it.

So let’s start living the lives God has planned for us, not lives we have planned for ourselves.  That way life can never be hard because you know that you are equipped for it. When you go through the valley of shadow of death you know you shall not die. {Isaiah 43:2} When you pass through the waters,I will be with you and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.

So from today onward give back your life to the author, for He knows how best you can live your life. Let us have faith in Him and let Him work us into our dreams.

Is anything too hard for God?…

My message is going to come from the story of Abraham, a great and faithful servant of the Lord. I believe most of us know his story because it’s usually used to define FAITH; his life was the definition of faith.  Abraham’s faith pleased God that He was blessed with not just a child of his own but nations and nations of children.  I believe such faith really pleases God; such faith can not only move mountains but can get you blessed beyond measure, get you blessed in more than abundance. I’m so sure if God was going to ask you to be Abraham you would probably say no to that cause he waited upon the Lord for a long time, which most of us can’t do. Pleasing God and having faith in Him at such high levels makes God do more than what you have asked for.

Somewhere, somehow in life all of us go through such tough situations. You might not be barren like Sarah was but you surely have that one thing that wears you down, that one thing that makes you have sleepless nights.  That one thing that makes you cry out blood cause you would have just run out of tears. Most of us do have such anguishing painful situations in our lives. Most of the time we run out of words, we don’t know how to plead our situations to the Lord we end up thinking even God can’t take care of this one. Do you know what, God doesn’t want your words, and He doesn’t want you to say much about your situation He just wants you to have faith in Him. Our words don’t please or move the Lord. What pleases the Lord is the faith we have in Him. To God you can even go with just 2 words and faith like a mustard seed and he will hear you loud and clear. It aint your 2 words that are going to please the Lord but it’s the faith that is going to move Him to do things for you.

Most of the time we so wrapped around that situation that we see no way out, we always blinded by our tears that we can’t see what’s ahead. Our hearts are even drawn from the Lord that we even laugh at Him when He says He can do it for us. We tend to look at how big the situation is, not how big our God is.  In those days  Sarah’s issue was big because she was way past the age of barring children but is barrenness  big a  situation that God can’t break  ,is it too big a situation that HE is overwhelmed by it. Genesis 18 in this chapter Abraham was visited by angels, they had come with good news for him and his wife. {Genesis s 18:10} Then one of them said “I will return to you about this time next year, and your wife Sarah will have a son.” Guess what Sarah did {verse12} So she laughed silently to herself and said “how could a worn-out woman like me enjoy such pleasure, especially when my master – my husband-is so old?”  Those were Sarah’s words, she even laughed. We tend to do that as well, God is always promising to take you out of your situation but guess what we do we look away and run to other things for help. We shun Gods help, its either you do it your own way or you dwell in your sorrows until you die, but thank God for Abraham’s faith cause not even Sarah’s disbelief was going to stop God from blessing  them with a child. Let’s look at what the Lord says {verse 13-14}” Then the Lord said to Abraham, Why did Sarah laugh? Why did she say can and old woman like me have a baby? Is anything too hard for the Lord” I believe those were just comforting words “is anything too hard for the Lord?”

Some of you have been waiting on God to do something’s for you but do you really have faith in him or you are just trying your luck cause in God there is nothing like luck. What makes me happy is that the Lord doesn’t ask for much from us, he just wants your faith and all will be well. He doesn’t want us to pay Him to do what we asking from Him, He just wants you to believe he can and be patient cause He knows the right time to deliver the goods, after all his God and He knows what’s best for you . He at what time you can have it, where and how you can have what you want. What puzzles me is that most of you have been waiting for so long for God to do something you have always been asking for and you just decide to give up and curse God when you were almost there. So all those years have just gone to waste, then you just decide to turn away from God and curse Him. That’s what the enemy does he wants you to quit when you are almost there, he wants you to give up just the moment you were about to step into your blessings. So please don’t let him win. Most of us have been waiting for JUST 2 years ,Only 2 years look at how many years Abraham was patient with the Lord his son was born when he was*100* years and you just complaining about 5 years . From today on, let’s make a choice of patiently waiting on the Lord because there is nothing that’s too hard for Him.

Blessings come with association

This topic takes me back as far as “The Noah’s Ark…” Yes you might be thinking but what does blessing and association have to do with Noah. Genesis 6:9 “Noah was a righteous man, the ONLY blameless person living on the earth at the time, and He walked in close fellowship with God” this verse shows us how Noah was the righteousness of God and how He had a close relationship with Him.

In the days of Noah the Lord was really disturbed by how humans lived their lives, full of sin and no one in that time made Him happy but Noah. As you go on reading the chapter you see God telling Noah to build an ark so that his family and some animals can be protected from   flood. Back to my topic, in verse 9 of this chapter says Noah was the ONLY blameless person living on earth. What about His family, his wife, sons and their wives their righteousness was not mentioned anywhere. I believe they had their faults and they were not as righteous as Noah was, but God allowed them to get onto the ark with Noah as well because they were associated with Noah they were his family,so if God was going to protect  Noah He was also going to protect the people that were associated with Him and that was his family. God would have said “Noah the ark is for you and the animals only, because I find your children full of sin.” But no the Lord didn’t say that, He said Genesis 7vs1 “get into the boat with all your family.”

 

When I was reading about this story, the Holy Spirit said to me. It’s just like us in our day to day living there  are some situations in which God tends  to also bless and protect people that associate with His righteous men… for example, close to home Fathers and Mothers that fear the Lord, that are the righteousness of God have most of their blessings flowing to their kids. Even at work, a person who has his company in the hands of God, a man who serves the Lord, has his company blessed and God blesses all the processes and the employers too. He just blesses the whole package. Don’t get me wrong though, I’m not saying if you have a friend,a parent a relative  who has a good relationship with God, He”s going to bless you too even if you are evil… You should at least have a relationship with God.

So today are you associated with  Noah , or you are Noah himself…which ever you are just know that God also blesses you cause of the Noah you associate with and He also blesses people who are associated with you cause you are Noah… It’s always right to associate with the right people because when blessings flow they won’t miss you too… When troubles come they won’t affect you because you are associating with the right people…

Don’t eat the apple!!!

Genesis  3

The serpent asked Eve ‘did God say you must not eat any fruit from any of the trees in the garden?’ That’s where it all starts hey, you begin by asking yourself all these questions…” but did God really say I shouldn’t lie even if it’s a matter of life and death, cause He will most definitely understand me when I do…Did He really say love your enemies, I don’t think He really meant it that way cause He knows John did me wrong he got me fired at work so why should I love Him. This is an exception, im sure God will understand me on this one…”  No dear what’s wrong is wrong don’t try compromise God’s word. Don’t edit it so that it fits your situation…

When God says DON’T TOUCH!! Just don’t touch. When He says DON’T GO!! Then don’t go…I’m sure He knows so well what He will be saying, He knows whats ahead and the consequences that come after disobeying His command, He knows best … It’s just like that saying” moms  know best”, that’s so true hey… They have experienced most of the stuff before us, if she says don’t eat lying on your back, it’s not that she doesn’t want you to relax while you eating, but if you eat while lying on your back you will choke and die… It’s just like God they are a lot of things He told us not to do cause He knows the end result of it and its usually not a good one…so it’s always best to listen and not question His commands cause after all his God and he knows what’s best for you, He loves you that’s why He tells you not to.

3:4-5

The serpent went on to fool Eve telling her “that you won’t die, God just doesn’t want you to open your eyes because you will be like Him knowing both good and evil…” oh please that’s stupid  lie ,1) NO1 can ever be like God 2)and yes you will die when it says it kills it kills, no two ways about it… that’s what the devil does he will fool you in doing things that you know aren’t right ,things that you sure know they will kill you… he always beautifies sin, makes it look like something wonderful and he tempts you to try…It’s just like how these days people take sex as if it’s something you can do before  marriage, he makes it seem as if there is nothing wrong with it.. He tells you that “there is nothing wrong with it, everyone has it so what . They are ALL doing it out there it’s the in thing nowadays, that’s the only way the world can accept you if you don’t indulge in sex then you are an outcast.” His so manipulative right, yeah that’s his nature… the problem is with us too ,we want to be part of the world,  we want to fit in and we want to be loved by the world so you end up falling for satan’s deceitful lies… if you fall for his lies and believe what he says about sex then yes you are going to indulge In sex and he will most definitely make you enjoy it because he wants you to fall in love with that sin so that you end up saying to yourself there is nothing  wrong with it ,it’s just sex after all… you even go to the extent of saying I wonder why God keeps us from such pleasures of life, why does He tell us it’s not good when it feels so good. I bet that’s what Eve was thinking when the devil fooled her into believing that there is nothing wrong with eating the fruit … I guess what even made it worse was when the serpent said in vs5b “ and you will be like God knowing both good and evil.” I guess that got her thinking about how she would also not mind having such knowledge but this was knowledge from a wrong source… it’s just like most of us in life we thinking we are more clever than God and we can out smart Him, don’t be fooled no1 can out smart God and no1 knows more than he does… so get off your high horse and allow God to guide to , to tell you how to go about things cause your way leads to destruction…

3:7

“At the moment their eyes were opened and they suddenly felt shame at their nakedness.” I wonder how that felt cause that was a sudden shift, before they felt no shame and they didn’t even know that they were naked…hahaha but they didn’t hey , before they felt nothing they were perfectly fine in their nakedness . they felt like yeah this is life and we feeling good like this, I bet before eating the apple they were always happy … it’s  a big thing that all of a sudden you start knowing that this is right ,this is wrong like oh damn we are naked…that’s how we usually are when we use the route God always tells us not to use you become so vulnerable and confused… it’s just like when you receive Christ as you personal Lord and Savior, knowing that in Christ all is well is just a GOOD feeling. Knowing that in Him you have all you want and you lack nothing .I believe in those moments you will be naked in Christ, ey  literally I don’t want your minds to be running in all sorts of weird places haha… naked in Christ meaning your life is laid out for Him only, no hidden agendas there is completely nothing you doing behind closed doors. Oh k behind closed doors won’t work cause He can never be behind closed doors hahahah ,He can see everything and He knows everything… your life will be an open book to Him ,He can read you anytime… that’s how Adam and Eve where before eating the apple ,naked but when they ate it they vs 7 “ they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves.” That’s what we do, when we indulge in sin we cover ourselves from God and you tend to want to do our own things always wanting to find your way out of life’s situations… that’s what the devil wants you to do, he wants you to fall short of Gods glory because you can imagine how Adam and Eve lived. I believe they were Gods best creation ever and God had them at heart and He cared for them so much that’s why He even gave them such a beautiful garden…

It’s just like us, God has given us such good gardens too and the devil doesn’t want you to enjoy what the Almighty has install for you. So that’s why he never stops tempting you from eating the apple. When you indulge in sin, you even become so ashamed of yourself and afraid of God . That in itself pulls you apart from Him because you will be so ashamed and afraid to talk to Him and that’s not what God wants… That was the same case with Adam and Eve vs 8 “The man and woman heard God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the, Lord among the trees.”  What made them do that is that they knew what they had done and they knew that God had warned them about it and He had told them what will happen to them when they eat the apple… it’s just like us, they are a lot of things God told us not to do when we do them we feel so dirty in front of God so we run away from Him and hide…

As we carry on to the last verse of chapter 3 we see how God punished them for disobeying what He had said… we don’t want such wrath upon our lives , so let’s make the right choices in life… don’t be attracted to the beauty of the apple it doesn’t have the juice for eternal life , flee from the devils temptations through prayer and reading more of God’s word and surely His goodness and mercies shall follow you all the days of your life… if you are doing something that is not right ,something that God told you not to do then  don’t do it and please don’t run away from Him He wants to clean you and change your life for the better…  Rather come t him and live your wicked ways He will surely bless you amen…

He forgives sinners, He discharges debtors. He delivers the captives…

My king defends the feeble and He blesses the young. He serves the unfortunate…

He rewards the diligent…

My King is the key to knowledge. He’s the well spring of wisdom…

He’s the doorway of deliverance. He’s the highway of Holiness

He’s the gateway of Glory. He’s life is matchless and He’s goodness is limitless. He’s yoke is easy and He’s burden is lighter…

I wish I could describe Him for you, He’s indescribable, and He’s invincible…

You can’t get Him out of your mind… you can’t out live Him and you can’t live without Him.

Herod couldn’t kill Him… death couldn’t handle Him and the rave couldn’t hold him…

THAT’S MY KING!!!!!

The Truth shall set you Free!!

When I was still a child around the age of 6, we used to sing a song at church about the truth setting you free… I loved that song so much; I would sing on top of my voice   , I would get so passionate and dance so well to the song hahahaha!! I didn’t even know what it meant, but I still danced… I thought the truth we were singing about was confessing that you stole money from your parents and when you confess you will be set free…   Now I understand what it means. The truth is found in God’s word John 8; 32. His word is true, it’s real and it’s alive…” We are what it says we are and are going to be what it says will be” and nothing can stop his word from breathing into our lives… oh no wait there is that one thing that can stop the word from breathing into your life ,ITS YOU! If you never have time for the word you will never know what God says about your life and that makes the devil happy he will even help you by keeping it far away from you… this is because he knows that it has something that will set you free from his chains and that’s the TRUTH…   The devil will never tire form planning and scheming ways that will make you not understand Gods word and the worst thing he can do is to make you feel lazy to read it. He will keep you so busy that you will never have time to read the bible… he knows that the moment you know what God says about your life in His word ,his plans to destroy you won’t come to pass… I feel sorry for Christians who don’t know the Word. You see them throughout the Body of Christ – bound up, failing, and stumbling by the wayside. God said, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6) Here’s another way to say it: “God’s people are destroyed for lack of knowledge of the truth of His Word.” All of our praying, shouting, and jumping  or whatever we’re doing needs to be in line with God’s Word, because God has magnified His Word above His Name Psalms 138:2. If we’re not careful, we can substitute a lot of things that may seem good and legitimate for the Word of God. If you don’t know the Word, then you are in trouble. You’ll remain in bondage, for it is knowledge of the Word that makes you free.    We tend to spend a lot of time reading magazines, some articles online watching things that don’t help us in anyway… things that we even know are lies, why not spend your time reading Gods word that talks about healing, deliverance, success, prosperity, victory…   What’s your authority? Is it Gods word or the world? Is it what God says is true or the worlds opinion? Think about these things, if it’s the world that’s speaking more than God’s word you got to change… because the truth is that you are nothing without God’s word being your guide… *God bless ya’ll

Love yourself the way you are…

It took me years to love my body. Grew up so insecure, too self conscious. Never ever liked the way I looked, always had something bad to say about my body.

“ Awwww I hate my arms they so chubby, my legs are too thin, my face is too round, I’m so skinny bla bla.” We notice these things about ourselves, and hate them, but no-one else does. We’re our own worst, harshest critics, for no good reason!

There was a this day when I was just sitting by myself in my room, I had refused to go out with my friends for ice cream because I thought the dress I was wearing wasn’t  looking good on me and all my friends looked fab and pumped up. So there I was just reading my Bible listening to music.

The Holy Spirit said to me “why worry about things you can never change, don’t you think God made you that way for a reason, don’t you think he knew what He was doing when He created you that way.” That statement really touched me. A lot of us don’t appreciate the way God created us, we never grateful with the way we look. Have you ever thought of people born without legs and you busy asking God to make yours longer hahaha. Have you ever thought of people without arms and you busy complaining how yours are fat and chubby. Wow guys we got to change our ways hey. You could just be yourself for once, be the best of yourself.

You could drive yourself crazy following fad diets, trying to sculpt six-pack abs or getting implants to look thick. Instead, why not learn to love your body just the way it is? After all, you may never achieve  Beyonce’s thick body or Halle Berry’s perfect curves,Tigger Wood’s six pack but you’re stuck with the body you have, so why not love being in it?

I have seen a lot of implants that have gone wrong cause these people wanted to have someone else’s body. Some come out looking really bad, some even die in the process. Why go through so much just to change the way God created you. There can never be 2 Megan Goods in this world neither can they be 2 Kim Kardashians. So why would you want to be a photocopy of someone else, isn’t that a little embarrassing being the second best of someone. So being you is the best option here.

We tend to lose ourselves, lose our purpose for life. We draw ourselves back, we limit ourselves and never achieve the goals we had set for ourselves.

“They think I’m not tall enough, they say I’m too fat, my skin is not smooth.” oh come on dear, who is THEY. Are they God, did they create you.

I have come to appreciate the way I look, you know why because I live for God now and His the only one I want to please not THEM. You can never please the world. If your gain weight THEY say you are now too fat .if lose a weight they say you now too skinny.

So why not just love yourself. God knew you before you were born, He knows the plans He has for you. So don’t worry about whose going to marry you, He already created a life partner for you. One who is going to love you the way you are, that person is created for you and you alone. When he or she sees you they will fall in love with you the way you are.

Can you imagine if you try getting implants, do a face lift and change your body. How is that life partner created for you going to find you? He won’t because you are now someone else. That’s why people end up in wrong relationships, just because they fell in love with the body.

I have come to realize that depression occurs when we constantly feed ourselves with negative thoughts. When we accept and love our bodies, we tend to have positive flow of thoughts that affirm how beautiful and wonderful we are. Try looking in the mirror and saying, “I love my beautiful, body,” or, “I feel strong and healthy in my body.”

When you silence self critical thoughts about your body, you will feel an immediate shift from a more anxious, dissatisfied state that comes when you expect perfection from yourself, to one of calm acceptance. This wave of acceptance will flow over to other areas of your life to reduce stress and build confidence.

WANTING TO BE SOMEONE ELSE IS A WASTE OF WHO YOU ARE…
